Historic Triangle RAFT Project
The RAFT project in the Historic Triangle of Virginia has just concluded its assessment phase. This included a qualitative assessment—interviews, focus groups, and surveys with 52 residents representing 25+ organizations, agencies, or departments—and a quantitative assessment, featuring a review of planning documents in comparison to RAFT’s scorecard. The final scorecards were then turned into Opportunity Lists, a list of suggested activities that corresponds to each place where the local government scored “0” on the scorecard. These materials are available for download below.

The Opportunity Lists and Scorecards for each locality will be used, in combination with the summary report from the Qualitative Assessment, to inform conversation at the August 18th workshop at James City County Rec Center (5301 Longhill Rd, Williamsburg, VA). The goal of the workshop is to pick resilience action items for the community to implement over the following year, with the RAFT team's help. It is open to anyone who works or lives in York County, James City County, or the City of Williamsburg, and offers childcare for children ages 3+ as well as light refreshments.
