Bryan Slater has more than 30 years of senior-level experience leading public, non-profit, campaign, and private sector organizations. Bryan received his associate’s degree from Ferrum College, his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Richmond, and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Ferrum College. At the federal level, Bryan served in senior positions in the George H.W. Bush Administration, the George W. Bush Administration, and the First Donald J. Trump Administration, serving in leadership positions at HUD, SBA, DOT, and DOL. At the state level, he served in Governor Gilmore’s cabinet, in Governor Youngkin’s cabinet, and in the Attorney General’s office under Attorney General Gilmore. He also worked for and interned for two members of the Virginia Senate early in his career.
Bryan has served in numerous senior positions in non-profit organizations including Americans United for Life, Freedom Partners Shared Services, and Generation Opportunity in the Koch Nonprofit Network. He was also the former Executive Director of the Republican Party of Georgia and Political Director of the Republican National Committee. Bryan is a recipient of the 2007 Innovation in Government Award from the Virginia Commonwealth University Wilder School of Government, is a Fellow at the National Academy of Public Administration and previously served on the Board of Visitors for Virginia Commonwealth University.
