Alexis serves as Executive Director for State Government Relations and Assistant to the President at the University of Virginia. Previously, she held the position of President & CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce, serving the business community in the Dan River Region. She was the founding Executive Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Career Competitiveness at Averett University. Alexis serves on the boards of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, Danville Regional Foundation, is a graduate of and board member at LEAD Virginia, and previously served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission.
