Shizuka Modica
Ms. Modica earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Virginia Curry School of Education in 2007 and her master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1998.
Since 1988, Ms. Modica has been an administrator in various functions at the International University of Japan (IUJ) and the University of Virginia. She was a Fulbright scholar in international education administration while at IUJ. She is also a certified ESL teacher in Japan and a 360 Performance Evaluation facilitator certified by the Center for Creative Leadership.
Her areas of practical and theoretical interest include the meaning of work, high-performing organizations, work motivation, change management, and process consultation. She has been with the UIP since June 2009.
