5 Easy Steps to Become a UIP Intern
Step 1
Consult the online UIP Internship Listing which describes over 300 internship opportunities in the Charlottesville area. You can browse through an alphabetical listing of all sponsoring organizations in the Charlottesville area or search for specific internships by keyword or organization name.
Step 2
Attend a UIP Information Session on one of the following dates:
Monday, January 23, 2012, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Newcomb South Meeting Room
Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Newcomb Commonwealth Room
Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Newcomb Commonwealth Room
Thursday, January 26, 2012, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Newcomb Commonwealth Room
Step 3
Decide which UIP option is best for you. See the UIP Program Options tab for a detailed list of all the available options. Note: You can choose to do a Summer Internship and an Academic-Year Internship.
Step 4
Complete the online UIP Intern Application.
Step 5
Schedule a matching interview between January 17, 2012 and February 29, 2012. You will select an interview slot when you complete the online application. Your interview will be held at the UIP Offices, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, 2400 Old Ivy Road.
