Applied Research
The Institute undertakes sizable research projects at the request of a member locality, local government professional association, government agency, or the Virginia General Assembly. In order for the Institute to take on such a project, its results should have application to a substantial number of Virginia localities. If the requesting entity does not have sufficient funding for the project, the Institute will assist in seeking additional support when possible.
