Overview

During this economic downturn, limited resources and tight budgets
demand that we work more efficiently than ever. However, by
capitalizing on collaboration—bringing people, ideas, and resources
together—an organization can achieve success in spite of today’s
challenges.

This class will explore strategies for better communication,
teamwork, and creativity that result in process improvement, increased
employee moral, and organizational efficiencies. You will learn and
practice techniques to identify opportunities for effective
collaboration.

At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to

  • define effective collaboration
  • identify opportunities for effective teamwork
  • examine ways to nurture cooperation through increased communication, teamwork and creativity
  • Determine necessary criteria to maintain a collaborative spirit within the work environment

About the Trainer

Sherri Dosher is a member of the Center for Organizational
Excellence within Chesterfield County, Virginia. Included in her duties
as curriculum coordinator are instructional design and delivery of
Chesterfield University curriculum; design and maintenance of the
Chesterfield University and Quality System websites; and coordination
of the online learning program and multimedia authoring initiatives.
Sherri serves as a certified trainer and an adjunct instructor for John
Tyler Community College in connection with Chesterfield University's
School of Quality and Continuous Improvement.

Sherri holds a BS in education from the University of North Alabama
and has completed graduate work in instructional technology at VaTech.
She is a member of the eLearning Guild.
