Susan Clapp
Susan Clapp conducts statistical research and analysis for the University of Virginia Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, Demographics & Workforce Group. Ms. Clapp’s areas of expertise include statistical and survey methods, manipulating and analyzing large datasets, and applying both statistical analysis and project management techniques to improve quality and efficiency.
Prior to her appointment at the University of Virginia, Ms. Clapp worked as a mathematical statistician for the United States Census Bureau; as a teaching fellow at Yale University, where she earned a Master’s degree in statistics; and as a tutor for the student athlete enrichment center at Clemson University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in mathematical sciences. She has been recognized with special achievement awards by the United States Census Bureau, invited to participate in a summer research program for the National Science Foundation, and has earned certification and training in numerous software and operating systems technologies.
