Career and Technical Education

Under contract to the Virginia Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education Services (CTE), Demographics & Workforce Groups staff research assistance and training and outreach for Career and Technical Education teachers and administrators. Current projects include:

Research on workplace readiness skills and assistance with updating the CTE workplace readiness curriculum.

Working with teachers and administrators to increase the enrollment and completion rates of underrepresented students in nontraditional CTE programs in accord with federal mandates under the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act.

Demographic Trends in Virginia: The Impact on Public Schools
