Robin Bebel
Ms. Bebel, Assistant Director at CSR, came to the Center in 2004 with 16 years of experience in survey research at Northern Illinois University’s Public Opinion Laboratory. As Director of Field Operations there, she was involved in all phases of project development and execution for local, state and national studies covering a wide range of topics and methodologies. She has focused her work on data quality issues, including effective question design, sampling and interviewer training.
Ms. Bebel was appointed in 2000 to the Advisory Group for the Data Collection Methods Committee for the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control. Individual states are responsible for their own data collection, following the procedures set forth by the CDC. The BRFSS is the largest telephone survey conducted nationally. She is a regular contributor to the International Field Director’s and Field Technologies Conference.
