The Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia is pleased to announce the 2008 Annual Southern Consortium of University Public Service Organizations Conference (SCUPSO).

Organized in 1979, SCUPSO supports university-based public service institutes in their efforts to assist state and local governments on a range of issues including: healthcare, welfare reform, and urban sprawl. SCUPSO facilitates networking, information exchange and collaboration among its 40 member institutions. SCUPSO's strategic focus is aimed at improving policy decision-making through quality research and technical assistance, while promoting best practices and leadership skills among government officials and administrators.
